Greetings My Lords, Ladies, and
Gentlemen -
The Noble Society of Celts,
founded over eleven years ago, is an hereditary society of persons with
Celtic roots and interests, who are of noble title and gentle birth,
and who have come together in a search for, and celebration of,
things Celtic.
The Celts, not just those most
commonly considered in Scotland, Ireland, or Wales, are a folk with a
vast and widespread heritage. Beginning largely in the Balkans, they
swept up through the middle of Europe, creating amongst other things
the largest and most sophisticated entrepreneurial network known to
man at that time. We, the Celts, still remain in large numbers in
Spain, France, England, Ireland, and most everywhere that has a mark
on western civilization.
The Society meets every few
years where stories are shared, formal and traditional dress are
worn, and our heritage is celebrated in general. Class I membership
is hereditary, with each member able to designate one heir for their
membership. Classes II and III are non-hereditary. We network
independently, and through our excellent publication, "The Awen."
As you can see by the current
Roll of Members elsewhere on these pages, we are a diverse, and
hopefully, interesting group. If you find the Society of interest,
you are invited to enquire of the Chancellor concerning membership.
